Who is Clermont Bible Church?
Clermont Bible Church is a small band of people, gathered by the Lord from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. With such diversity, the best explanation for this congregation's unity and harmony is Paul's words to the Colossians: "By Him (Christ), all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17). Its existence as a living, viable witness to the Gospel lies in the answer to the question put to every person seeking membership: "Who is your Lord and Savior?" Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.
We are far from being "cookie-cutter" Christians, cut from the same mold. The Apostle Paul wrote, "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17). Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, anyone who has repented of his or her sins has experienced the transforming grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, who is "eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace" (Ephesians 4:3) and will find considerable freedom to exercise those gifts, which the Spirit of the Living God endows.
This kind of freedom has not come easily, but I believe it has created a climate which will allow Clermont Bible Church to serve its Lord, Jesus Christ, and His Gospel, in an obviously growing community, and in an uncertain era of certain change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. His assurance for our time and for all time: "fear not, for I am with you" (Isaiah 41:10).
